Spatial Interop Roadshow

The Spatial Interoperability Demonstrator Project (SIDP) is doing a road show around Australia, in late April and early May 2005, to showcase their efforts. You can register online.

I’ll be at the Sydney event on 26 April 2005. My goal is to find out:

  1. Whether interoperability between applications has improved over the past year.
  2. What the most difficult hurdles were. (I’ll go out on a limb here and guess that the biggest issues were people/political issues.)
  3. Whether the audience is just the “the usual suspects” or if the interest in open interfaces and interoperability has increased.

Plus, it will be a good opportunity to catch up with a few people. Hope to see you there.
