RSS Usage
The Digital Earth Weblog website statistics show that one host is registering five times the number of page views as the of next host in the list (excluding search engines). The statistics suggest that this is pure RSS traffic, and that the host belongs to the University of Texas at Arlington.
3,867 RSS feed downloads in 14 days is about 11 per hour. It is also approximately twice the number of page views registered by the Googlebots for the same period.
I’d love to know how many users and/or applications are behind this host, and if it does indeed belong to the University of Texas at Arlington. I post to this blog a few times per week, so configuring your RSS aggregators to check for new posts once every day is probably adequate.

Thanks for that. My page view statistics should settle down and my ego can return to somewhere near normal. :-)
