Peer Support by Blog

Jithen Singh, on the Scrappad blog, posted about a new ESRI Technical Paper on ArcGIS Server. That paper was very useful to a client of mine (many thanks Jithen).

What I find to be really interesting is that this paper identified a technical issue that anyone running ArcGIS Server and the .NET ADF would be interested in. It is unlikely that I would have found this paper on my own, but I did find it through a trusted source in the blog world.

Software vendors should be interested in this. If they have staff who blog, telling them about papers like this would be a good way to get the word out. However, if I was an ArcGIS Server client, and paying annual maintenance, I would have expected this paper to arrive in my inbox shortly after it was published.
