Subscribing via Email

Many people subscribe to this weblog using an RSS aggregator. Their aggregator software displays new posts as they become available, so they don’t have to keep visiting the site. However, if you do not have an RSS aggregator, don’t have the time to learn about RSS, or just don’t want to learn yet another new technology, you can now subscribe to this weblog using e-mail.

We could have installed our own mailing list software, and managed our own list of subscribers, but there are two reasons why we did not:

  1. Selfishly, it takes a lot of work, and means that we would have had to learn yet another technology.
  2. More importantly, we would prefer that you are in control of all your subscriptions to weblogs. After all, they are your subscriptions.

After searching the Web for suitable service we came across FeedBlitz. Their privacy policy looks good, and they have all the tools that you need to manage e-mail subscriptions to multiple weblogs in one place.

Please give FeedBlitz a try. You will find the subscription form in the right-hand column of this website. Simply enter your e-mail address and click the Subscribe Me button. You will then be taken to the FeedBlitz website where you can finalise your subscription. If you have any trouble let us know ASAP and we will help you sort it out.
