Current Project

Andrew’s latest role is system architect at a government agency that is involved in a large technology refresh. Over 100 projects have been identified over a 5 year program. The technology involved ranges from standard Web applications and web services, to video, voice, and lots of hardware devices.

On any given day Andrew might be dealing with everything from enterprise architecture, to application design, down to helping debug code. Sometimes the rapid changes in altitude result in nose bleeds, but it’s all interesting stuff.

Other Work Interests

In addition to keeping up with the latest happenings in his small corner of the technology landscape, every year Andrew does something that stretches his boundaries.

Example: In 2006 he attended the excellent NetKernel Architects Weekend in the UK, and got some training on NetKernel.

Earlier in 2006 he became a Certified ScrumMaster (Scrum is an agile software development process). He then created the Australian Scrum Community website which is hosted by Digital Earth Pty Ltd.
